Dr. Dreyer is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Miami, where she teaches courses on China, defense policy, and international relations. She has lectured to, and taught a course for, National Security Agency analysts, consults for organizations such as National Geographic, and Central Technology. She is a senior felow of the Foreign Policy Research Institute and a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
Dr. Dreyer also served as Asia policy advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations and as commissioner of the United States-China Economic and Security Review Commission established by the U.S. Congress.
